COURSE OVERVIEW

This course will provide participants an in-depth understanding of the purpose, objectives, and accepted methods associated with construction administration for projects using FAA AIP and PFC funds. The focus of the course will be on how airport sponsors of FAA grant projects should administer and observe their projects in order to follow applicable rules and regulations.

Detailed presentations along with interactive and collegial activities to educate you on key tenants of the CA process will be used throughout the course. Moderators and materials will provide detailed information as a foundation for discussion. Along with comprehensive presentations, the workshop will include class exercises based on real-life examples and facilitated discussions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Discuss the purpose of performing construction administration and observation for projects using FAA AIP and PFC funds.
• Explain the expectations of FAA with respect to grant assurances.
• Identify accepted methods associated with construction administration and observation, and quality acceptance.
• Explain the expectations of the Airport Sponsor/Airport Operator with respect to construction administration and observation.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is intended for entry and mid-level professionals with interest, or limited experience, in providing construction observation and administration services, including:
» Consultants performing construction administration and observation during projects.
» FAA Office of Airports personnel involved in reviewing construction project documentation and reports.
» Airport personnel responsible for performing and/or overseeing project construction administration and observation.

• $875 – ACC members*, airports, local/state/federal government agencies, and military
• $1,075 – non-members

TRANSFER AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

Registration transfer and cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to training@acconline.org as outlined below.

Registration cancellations submitted after March 15, 2022 are non-refundable.

ACC encourages you to send a substitute if you find you are unable to attend to avoid loss of your registration fee. No shows will forfeit their registration fee. Substitute requests must be submitted in writing to training@acconline.org. The deadline for substitutes is March 31, 2022.

Registrants are responsible for cancelling their hotel room if no longer attending, or transferring their room to a substitute.

ACC reserves the right to cancel this course in the unlikely event that the number of registrants is insufficient. Should this occur, ACC will notify all registrants and refund all registration fees in full. However, any costs incurred by the registrant, such as airline and hotel cancellation penalties, are the responsibility of the registrant.

RALEIGH-DURHAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TOUR

The Raleigh-Durham International Airport has graciously offered a tour of their airfield construction projects. The tour is scheduled at the conclusion of the course, with the bus leaving the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel at 1:45 p.m. on April 13th. Pre-registration is required and the tour is limited to 40 participants. The tour concludes at 3:30 p.m. for those scheduling flights home.
