ABOUT THE VIRTUAL WORKSHOP
ACC Virtual Airport Obstruction Data, Evaluation and Management Workshop

This ACC workshop will provide attendees with an overview of the collection of airport obstruction data, the fundamentals of airspace terminology, regulations, and evaluation, a discussion of obstruction management, including impacts and solutions. The speakers will highlight the diverse methods of data collection that can be used, showcasing traditional methods as well as emerging technologies, The applicability of the various techniques and their eligibility for FAA funding as well as compliance with FAA requirements will be discussed. Additionally, a review the various surfaces and the impacts of each will be outlined so attendees can better understand how they fit together and determine a prioritization of importance for dealing with obstructions.
Finally, various methods for mitigation, the process of mitigation and as review of the assortment of topics that should be considered when developing a mitigation plan will be covered. This will also include a brief discussion of both quantitative and qualitative benefits and costs. The small groups breakout session will provide the attendees with a chance to use their knowledge to develop a brief mitigation plan for a case study site.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this ACC virtual workshop, participants will be able to:
• Define the various surfaces that airports should maintain free of obstructions.
• Describe the various methods that can be used to collect and evaluate airspace.
• Identify various management strategies for obstructions, once identified.
• Assess the possible benefit cost considerations of obstructions to airport operations.

Cancellations/Refunds
Cancellations received in writing to training@acconline.com by May 2, 2022 will receive a full refund. Cancellations after May 2nd are non-refundable.
Registrant Transfers
If a registrant is unable to attend and would like to transfer their workshop registration to another, transfer requests must be received in writing to training@acconline.org by May 16, 2022. The recipient of the transfer must have an ACC Training Hub user account.
