ACC Biometrics Are Coming – What Airports Need to Do to Prepare On-Demand Webinar
In the case of terminal and concourse facilities, no technology is presenting a more vast and complex set of variables for airport professionals to judge and act on technology-wise than biometrics. While automating the passenger journey goes beyond solely biometrics, the financial viability of such a vision now starts and ends with biometrics. But what can airport professionals truly expect from biometrics and when? This training program will provide an overview of biometric applications at airports, focusing specifically on how airlines and other airport stakeholders are starting to use the technology. The overall focus of the webinar will be on biometrics and the passenger journey, and how it will impact passenger facilitation from arrival at the airport to boarding the plane. Implications for terminal planning and design as well as IT will be covered
At the end of this ACC webinar, participants will be able to:
• Describe what biometrics is and isn’t.
• Explain the various drivers, constraints, and trends of biometrics to airport stakeholders.
• Develop terminal and concourse plans and designs that reflect the new, biometrically enabled passenger journey.
• Formulate and evaluate plans for airport involvement in biometric initiatives and deployments.
